Ghana rolls out a new visa system

Ghana rolls out a new visa system and starts installing visa issuing stations at all the country’s diplomatic missions abroad.

The opening ceremony for the new visa system for the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Ghana. The SAT itself was executed with intensive participation of Ghana Immigration Service at their premises in Accra.

With its partner Tegona SA specialised in PKI and secure document management systems, OFS has provided Ghana with a system solution (hardware, software and services) that enables a centralised data management at Ghana Immigration Service and decentralised visa-issuing in the country's diplomatic missions worldwide. Furthermore, the introduced visa issuing solution includes PKI components (i.e. Visa Document Signer) that secure the cryptographic signature of the ICAO-standardised VDS (Visible Digital Seal) that is personalised on the visa document, thereby elevating the country’s national security to the newest and highest standard.

As a general contractor for identification document production, OFS combines the highest security requirements with aesthetics and delivers unique, customized products to our clients worldwide.
